Free activities, giveaways and food for all school-age children at Hilltop Lodge Retirement Center in Beloit.

Laundry Love will provide funds and detergent to wash and dry your clothes and/or bedding. Located at The Laundry Basket in Beloit, 200 S. Mill St. School supplies will also be distributed on a first come, first serve basis. Treats will be available by Sweet Mama Lea's Bakery.

The historic Lil' Red Schoolhouse at Beloit's Roadside Park will be open every Wednesday during the Farmer's Market through Labor Day weekend. Bring your kids and show them what school was like in the early 1900's. Many historic school books, desks, and toys can be found throughout the school!

Cawker City will be adding more twine to the World's Largest Ball of Twine starting at 7 pm on Friday, August 15—live music by Taylor Kline. Golf Kart Poker Run will start at 7 pm in front of Cawker City Fitness Center. Food trucks and snow cones will be available.
