Local history brought to life with colorful characters from Mitchell County's past. Climena Jordan will portray Climena Jordan Park, 1874-1976, and Earlene Tice will portray Kulalie Harbaugh. Thursday, July 23, 7 pm, Mitchell County Fairgrounds. Free admission, donations welcome.

The Mitchell County Fair Raceway will hold races on Friday, July 24 for stock car, hobby stock, sport mod, crown vics, cruisers, and late models. Grandstands open at 6 pm, races start at 7 pm.

The Mitchell County Fair will hold races on Saturday, July 25 for classes 150 lap enduro, HOBO, bone stock trailer and compact, and grain truck. Gates open at 6 pm, races begin at 7 pm.

Season 17 of the Solomon Valley Farmer's Market will be held at the Lil' Red Schoolhouse Roadside Park on Wednesdays from 4-6 pm from Memorial Weekend to Labor Day Weekend.

The Lil' Red Schoolhouse will be open during the Farmer's Market throughout the summer. Walk through to see a replica of a one-room schoolhouse from the early 1900's. A volunteer will be present to help answer questions. Tourism brochures and magazines are available for the taking.
