The Mitchell County Health Department will be taking school walk-in immunizations on Wednesday, July 1 from 7 am to 5:15 pm. No appointment necessary.

Season 17 of the Solomon Valley Farmer's Market will be held at the Lil' Red Schoolhouse Roadside Park on Wednesdays from 4-6 pm from Memorial Weekend to Labor Day Weekend.

The Lil' Red Schoolhouse will be open during the Farmer's Market throughout the summer. Walk through to see a replica of a one-room schoolhouse from the early 1900's. A volunteer will be present to help answer questions. Tourism brochures and magazines are available for the taking.

All are invited for a fun trivia night at Down Under Bar on Wednesday, July 1 at 7 pm. Free to play!

Guaranty Bank is sponsoring a lunch for all Veteran's at the Beloit VFW on Friday, July 3 from 11 am to 1 pm. Burgers, chips, baked beans and a drink. Please bring your service cap or shirt to wear in a photo.

Senger Construction is sponsoring a Free Night Swim for everyone at Glen Elder Community Pool on Friday, July 3 from 8-10 pm.

On Saturday, July 4, the Glen Elder Lions Club will host their annual dam run 5K. Run begins at 7 am, registration opens at 6:30 am. Register at runsignup.com.

A Poker Scavenger Hunt will be held at Glen Elder State Park on Saturday, July 4 starting at 10 am. Registration is from 8-10 am at Glen Elder Marina. $20 first hand, $10 each additional hand. The hunt ends at noon. Biscuits and gravy will be served 7:30-9:30 am with free will donation.
