Join Discover Mitchell County for a free program focused on Workforce Training & Tax Credit Incentives. This event is designed to help local businesses learn about resources and programs that can support workforce development, employee training, and business expansion.
The first hour will feature Samantha Johnson, Director of Apprenticeships and Workforce Development at Fort Hays Tech | North Central. Samantha will discuss opportunities for businesses to partner with the college, including: Apprenticeship programs, on-the-job training, student academic sponsorship opportunities, certificate programs, and more.
Then, Mikey Hughes, Regional Director for In-State Business Development with the Kansas Department of Commerce, will present incentive programs available primarily to manufacturing businesses. These programs can provide valuable tax credits and other assistance for capital improvements, equipment purchases, and workforce training.
This is a FREE event. Lunch will be available for purchase at the Fort Hays Tech | NC Cafeteria when you arrive.
The first hour with Samathan Johnson is relevant to any business in Mitchell County. The second hour with Mikey Hughes is geared more towards manufacturers, but anyone is welcome to attend!
