Cruise the Blues

Celebrating its 23rd year as the largest bicycle festival in North Central Kansas, Cruise the Blues offers a unique outdoor experience for riders all ages. The festival, which draws riders from across the state, takes place July 18 and 19 at Palen Family Farms located eight miles east of
Tipton. Riders can register for downhill, solo or team races. Kids ages 3 to 10 years are encouraged to enter the free Cruiz’n Kids races Sunday, where two youth bicycles will be given away. Historical highlights include the newly renovated Humes barn, the Lone Hill School Bell, and information about the July 4th celebrations hosted by the Gaston family. Texas Red’s and Ice Bros will be on site, and Henry Tice will provide entertainment Saturday evening. All proceeds benefit the local youth mountain bike team, the NCK Raptors.
