I’m a YP! Why should I become a member of Young Professionals?

There are plenty of young people in Mitchell County, and more moving here often… but sometimes we wonder – where is everybody at? How do we actually get to know each other, grow together, and be an important part of shaping the future of our community?

Mitchell Co YP’s exists to answer exactly those questions. You don’t have to work a traditional 8am to 5pm job, hold a certain title, or be a “professional” at anything. Whether you are a student, loan officer, nurse, teacher, small business owner, administrative assistant, farmer, stay-at-home parent, or anything in between, we invite you to join us! If you are a young person who lives or works in Mitchell County and you want connection, growth, and some actual fun along the way, you’re welcome and we want you to be a part of this group.

YP Members ger exclusive access to trainings, social events, and more throughout the year! Membership helps cover the cost of providing these opportunities. Everything we do will be catered to the wants and needs of young professionals.

As an Employer, why should I support Young Professionals?

The main purpose of a Young Professional’s group is to be a resource for attracting and retaining young talent, fostering meaningful connections through our communities, and developing the next generation of business and community leaders.

When young people are hired, many times they are looking for a place in our community. When we allow these young people to be involved in the community and help them find meaningful connections with other people, they are much more likely to stay in Mitchell County.
